About Us

The rest of the story....

This is a tribute to my parents who encouraged me through life's journey & challenges. Their business gave me some of the passions and aspirations I have today.

In 1961 my dad opened The "French Donut Shoppe". He was the fourth one to buy into the franchise business as it launched into the communities. They made 1000 dozen donuts a day during the Grand opening which was held for 3 days! They ran a buy one dozen get one free special. I loved being at the bakery as a young child and watching my dad make all the donuts. As a child I was fascinated to see the big mixers going and the donuts being made in such a huge production. That may have been where it began for me to have a passion for baking besides growing up with homemade goodies.

My bakery was established in 2009 in the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. I have a separate building with a commercial kitchen. My facility is inspected by the Dept. of Agriculture

My bakery is unique in that I do not have a store front. I am making items on a

pre-order basis. That means I’m making it especially for you! I’m also delivering (locally only, of course) those goodies you ordered. Such a deal!!

I have collected many family recipes over the years and have created some of my own. I discovered early in life the passion I have for baking. My concept of baking is “homemade”, just like mom and grandma have done for years with only quality ingredients.
